These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter "GTC") aim to define the rights and obligations of the parties in the context of distance selling of products offered by SARL DB BASKET CONNECTION on the website www.basket-connection.fr.

Active since 1994, DB BASKET CONNECTION has been committed for over 30 years to offering quality products specifically designed for basketball practice, with particular attention to performance and durability.

DB BASKET CONNECTION reserves the right to modify these GTC at any time. The applicable conditions are those in force on the date of order validation by the customer, as accessible on the website on that date.

In accordance with Articles L111-1 and L221-5 of the French Consumer Code requiring comprehensive pre-contractual information, the seller is identified as follows:

The products available on www.basket-connection.fr are exclusively selected for basketball practice. Our stock is updated regularly, but high demand may exceptionally lead to unforeseen stock shortages.

Product photographs and visuals are provided for informational purposes and may show slight color variations due to screen display settings. These minor variations do not constitute a lack of conformity within the meaning of Article L217-4 of the French Consumer Code.

Prices displayed on www.basket-connection.fr are expressed in euros (€), all taxes included (TTC), in accordance with Article L112-1 of the French Consumer Code.

• Shipping costs are not included in the product price. They are calculated and displayed separately before final order validation, in accordance with Article L221-5 of the French Consumer Code.
• DB BASKET CONNECTION reserves the right to modify its prices at any time. The applicable price is the one in effect at the time of order validation by the customer.
• In accordance with European Directive 2019/2161/EU (Omnibus), transposed into French law, in the event of a price reduction announcement, the reference price displayed corresponds to the lowest price applied during the 30 days preceding the promotion.

To place an order on www.basket-connection.fr, the customer follows these steps:

1. Creation of a customer account or identification;
2. Selection of products and validation of the shopping cart;
3. Entry of delivery information;
4. Choice of payment method and secure payment;
5. Final validation and order confirmation.

DB BASKET CONNECTION reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order in case of a dispute relating to the payment of a previous order, suspected proven fraud, or product unavailability noted after confirmation. The customer will be informed by email and fully reimbursed if payment has been collected.

Payment is due in full at the time of order validation. Accepted payment methods are:

• Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard, CB) — with 3D Secure authentication;
• PayPal;
• Bank Transfer (order is processed upon receipt of transfer).

In case of fraudulent or unauthorized payment on your bank account, you benefit from the legal protections provided by Article L133-18 of the French Monetary and Financial Code (reimbursement by your bank within one working day). Immediately contact your bank and our customer service.

Orders are shipped to the delivery address indicated by the customer during the order. DB BASKET CONNECTION cannot be held responsible for delivery errors due to incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer.

• Delivery times are indicative and provided during the order.
• A tracking number is communicated to the customer upon shipment of their order.
• Delivery costs are at the customer's expense, unless there is an ongoing promotional offer.
• For deliveries outside mainland France, additional costs and extended delivery times may apply. Customs duties or import taxes may be payable upon delivery, at the sole expense of the recipient.

8.1 – Legal Right of Withdrawal (14 days)

Reimbursement will be made no later than 14 days after receipt of the returned product, using the same payment method used for the purchase, in accordance with Article L221-24 of the French Consumer Code. Initial delivery costs are not refunded. Return shipping costs are borne by the customer.

8.2 – Basket Connection Extended Return Policy (15 days)

8.3 – Return Procedure

1. Notify the request by email to service@basket-connection.fr, indicating the order number and reason.
2. Prepare the package with the item in its original packaging, accompanied by the order number and contact details.
3. Ship by registered mail with tracking to: Basket Connection, 3 Quai Félix Faure, 49100 Angers.
4. Retain proof of shipment until receipt of reimbursement.

8.4 – Return Shipping Costs

• Our error or lack of conformity: costs covered by Basket Connection (prepaid label provided).
• Other cases (change of mind, size): costs at the customer's expense.
• Returns from outside mainland France: always at the customer's expense.

8.5 – Store Credit

Instead of a refund, the customer may request a credit voucher valid for 1 year on basket-connection.fr, in the form of a promotional code. The request must be made by e-mail to service@basket-connection.fr at the time of the return request.

For any claim under the legal guarantees, contact service@basket-connection.fr with photos of the defect and the order number. Return shipping costs are covered by Basket Connection in this case.

• Gift cards are redeemable only on basket-connection.fr.
• They can be paid for by credit card, PayPal, or bank transfer.
• Their validity is 1 year from the date of dispatch to the recipient.
• They are non-refundable and not exchangeable for cash, in accordance with Article L112-6 of the Monetary and Financial Code.
• Gift cards are not subject to the right of withdrawal once they have been used, in accordance with Article L221-28 of the Consumer Code.

DB BASKET CONNECTION collects and processes its customers' personal data strictly within the framework of order fulfillment and the commercial relationship.

• The collected data is used exclusively for order processing, customer relationship management, and, with your explicit consent, for sending commercial communications.
• Your data is never sold to third parties for commercial purposes.
• The data retention period is limited to what is necessary for the purposes for which it is processed, in compliance with legal obligations (especially accounting: 10 years).

DB BASKET CONNECTION is responsible for the proper execution of the obligations arising from the sales contract, in accordance with Articles 1217 et seq. of the Civil Code.

DB BASKET CONNECTION's liability cannot be engaged in the following cases:

• Disruptions or interruptions of the Internet network beyond our control (intrusion, viruses, service interruption);
• Use of products not in accordance with their intended purpose (e.g., indoor shoes used outdoors);
• Loss or damage of a return package not sent by registered mail by the customer;
• Incorrect email address provided by the customer for a gift card;
• Cases of force majeure as defined by Article 1218 of the Civil Code (unforeseeable, irresistible, and external event).

In any event, DB BASKET CONNECTION's liability is limited to the amount of the order concerned.

The website www.basket-connection.fr is hosted and operated on the Shopify Inc. platform (251 Little Falls Drive, Wilmington, Delaware 19808, United States), one of the most secure e-commerce solutions in the world, used by over 4 million merchants in more than 175 countries.

Shopify acts as a technical hosting provider within the meaning of Article 6 of French Law no. 2004-575 of June 21, 2004, for Confidence in the Digital Economy (LCEN), and as a data processor within the meaning of Article 28 of the GDPR. As such, Shopify is subject to the same data protection obligations as DB BASKET CONNECTION.

The technical security measures implemented by Shopify notably include:

• TLS/SSL Encryption: All communications between your browser and our servers are encrypted. The padlock 🔒 in the address bar attests to this. TLS certificates are provided and automatically renewed by Shopify.
• Tokenization of banking data: Your card details are immediately replaced by a unique token. No card numbers are stored on our servers or on Shopify's.
• SOC 1 & SOC 2 Audits performed every 6 months by accredited independent auditors, evaluating the effectiveness of security controls.
• Quarterly ASV vulnerability scans (Approved Scanning Vendor) compliant with PCI DSS requirements.

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute relating to their interpretation or execution, the parties undertake to seek an amicable solution before any legal action.

   Judicial recourse In the absence of an amicable resolution, jurisdiction is attributed to the Courts of Angers. However, in accordance with Article R631-3 of the Consumer Code, the consumer retains the right to bring the case before the court of their place of residence. The above jurisdiction clause does not apply to disputes involving consumers within the meaning of consumer law.
